July's Theme of the Month: Breathing! According to Joseph Pilates, "breathing is the first act of life, and the last. Our very life depends on it. Since we cannot live without breathing it is tragically deplorable to contemplate the millions and millions who have never learned to master the art of correct breathing. Lazy breathing converts the lungs, figuratively speaking, into a cemetery for the deposition of diseased, dying, and dead germs as well as supplying an ideal haven for all the multiplication of other harmful germs. Therefore, above all, learn how to breathe correctly. SQUEEZE EVERY ATOM OF AIR FROM YOUR LUNGS UNTIL THEY ARE ALMOST AS FREE OF AIR AS IS A VACUUM." This month we will explore the breath and coordinating movement with the breath to more deeply connect your mond and body for building optimal strength with length, balance and flexibility. Join us for a Franklin Method 'Breathing For Alignment and Flexibility' workshop on July 30th and experience how full, deep and complete breathing supports healthy movement, then practice how to integrate this into Pilates and daily life!

Group Reformer Classes accommodate up to 3 students and Mat classes up to 8 students. We specialize in personalized and small group service to provide more individualized attention and feedback than you get in large format classes, all to ensure you receive the ultimate Pilates experience.
